Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale Shortened to Two Days

The Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, which was moved to Newmarket this year due to COVID-19, has been shorted to two days, Tattersalls Ireland announced on Thursday. The sale will take place Sept. 21 and 22, with Part II directly following the conclusion after the September Yearling Sale. This scheduling change is in response to the relocation of the sale to Park Paddocks in Newmarket. The remaining 2020 Tattersalls Ireland sales will take place in Ireland, and any vendors not wishing to sell in Newmarket will have the opportunity to sell in the new yearling section of the Tattersalls Ireland Flat Foal and Breeding Stock Sale on Nov. 13. Selling will begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 21 and 10 a.m. on Sept. 22.

“Following the decision to move the September Yearling Sale to Tattersalls Park Paddocks in Newmarket and as a result of the feedback from vendors, the two-day format for the September Yearling Sale and Part II can now be confirmed,” said Tattersalls Ireland CEO Matt Mitchell. “By having the sale over two days, we believe we will be able to provide the best marketplace possible. The introduction of a new yearling section in to the November Flat Foal & Breeding Stock Sale has given vendors a viable alternative in respect of where they wish to sell their yearlings.”
